Prospective Games was formed in 2021 by Garrison K Smith. Commonly goes online by the username Jakeconer. We originally started out as a Browser Game Developer. But in 2023, we progressed to Steam and Desktop games! We still make browser games from time to time. Although the name Prospective Games was first used in 2021. The company dates back to 2017. Originally under the name of GarrisonDev and later in 2019 as Jakeconer Games.Â
Our company slogan is Alternative Indie. This was a way to say that we are a unique indie studio that develop games differently. As well as a fun reference to alternative rock. We prioritize developing unique games. As well as games that are inexpensive allowing us to sell them for low prices!
We began demonstrating our games at Conversion starting with Matsuricon 2024. Since then, we have appeared at Torgscon, GDEX, Corgcon, Cleveland Gaming Classics, and Toronto Game Expo. We also began selling physical copies of our games. We sell our games on flash drives. We were able to find a provider who was able to supplies stock flash drives and cases for them. We opted for flash drives since not all computers nowadays have disk drives on them. However, we did start selling copies of CD in with the flash drives. They even work as both a game disk if you put it in the computer and a music disk that will play the games soundtrack in a CD player.
We are always looking to extend our game library and find more ways to make our games and selling them fun!
